Guidelines for the Proper Informational Use of TNR Trademarks
The trademarks owned by TNR are the intellectual property of The Natural Resource, LLC. Please keep this in mind when referring to The Natural Resource, TNR, or any of its trademarks in any manner or medium. TNR want to see its name become better known, and therefore does not wish to discourage external use of TNR trademarks. However, we request that these trademarks be used in such a way that is respectful our intellectual property rights. Please follow the guidelines set forth below, which are drawn from legal standards set forth by U.S. trademark law, when using TNR trademarks without its review and expressed permission.
Clearly display the following form of trademark notice on the cover, title page, welcome screen, home page, packaging, labeling, or advertising of your publication, product, or web site:
- [Identify TRADEMARK] is a [registered] trademark of The Natural Resource, LLC (TNR). This [publication/product/website] is not endorsed or approved by TNR.
Example 1: "The Natural Resource® is a registered trademark of The Natural Resource, LLC (TNR). This website is not endorsed or approved by TNR."
Example 2: "Do More Outdoors™ is a trademark of The Natural Resource, LLC (TNR). This publication is not endorsed or approved by TNR."
It is not necessary for this notice to appear in the same place that the TNR trademark appears on the cover, title page, welcome screen, home page, packaging, labeling, or advertising of your publication, product, or web site. For example, the notice may appear in a footnote or at the bottom of a page on a website. The notice just must be clear, easy to locate, and legible.
- All registered TNR trademarks must include the registered trademark symbol "®" with the first use and/or most prominent reference to the trademark on book covers (front, back, and spine), CD(ROM) labels, and in each separate section, product packaging, title page, web page, and/or software opening screen on which the trademark appears. For non-registered TNR trademarks, please use the "T" symbol after the mark.
-
Separate your company name (or trademark) from the referenced TNR trademark, so that it is clear that the product, service, or site is your company's work and not to be confused with a product or service of TNR.
-
Always TNR trademarks in plain block letters (both upper and lower case may be used). Do not add designs or stylized typefaces. Do not use any TNR trademarks in a transformed style. Do not render TNR trademarks so that they are significantly more prominent or eye-catching than any other word in the title or description. Typeface color should be the same for all words in the title.
-
Do not use any TNR trademark alone as a title or tag line.
-
Do not make any TNR trademark a part of your own business name, as part of a brand name for your products, or as an Internet domain name.
-
Do not translate or transliterate any TNR trademark in another language.
-
