Tom Dietz can boast of more than 38 years of fishing experience, and all this time on the water over the years leads to consistent success today. Favorite targets include walleyes/saugeyes, bass, and trout, but Tom's prize of prizes is the mighty muskellunge.
Originally hailing from Wisconsin, Tom has plenty of experience tangling with these toothy critters. He lived in Eagle River, WI for ten years and was a regional sales manager for Mepps and Mr. Twister until Gander Mountain attracted him to Ohio.
Now, when Dietz isn't managing the new Dayton Gander Mountain (Huber Heights), writing articles for Musky
Hunter Magazine or Ohio Outdoor News, he lives to guide musky trips. Tom primarily guides on Caesar's Creek, Clear Fork, Alum Creek, and Leesville Lakes. His season typically starts in early March and extends through December.
What makes Tom Dietz different as a musky guide?
(1) Tom NEVER fishes when he's guiding. These
trips are about YOU and helping you catch more
fish!
(2) Tom can offer a variety of strategies. His preference is casting for muskies, but he's fully rigged and ready to troll. He also offers night fishing packages and will even take groups on the ice.
(3) All of Dietz's musky trips are catch-and-release (though he can recommend a quality taxidermist for quality replica mounts by Lax).
