Sassy Sal Charters is the only stop you need to make when you are coming to fish "The Big Lake." Family-owned and operated for 30 years, Sassy Sal is conveniently located in the heart of Port Clinton on the Portage River. With convenient access to Lake Erie, we offer a full bait and tackle shop, daily walk-on head boats, private group charters, and direct access to the Jefferson Street Pier.

Our bait and tackle shop specializes in terminal tackle that will get the fish to bite.  We always have Lake Erie shiners, and offer on-site fish cleaning services from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.

Don't have your rod and reel? Rental equipment is available for $6.00, so you can take the kids down to the pier and not worry about bringing rods and reels with you.  We have you covered!

Sassy Sal offers daily head boat trips, and recommends making a reservation. We make one trip daily in April, September, and October from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., and two trips daily May-August (7 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.) The head boats can also be privately chartered for group events up to 49 passengers.

We target walleye, perch, and smallmouth bass, and our boats have restroom facilities that are handicapped accessible.
