We strive to have our dogs trained as biddable companion hunters. We have worked with over
400 gun dogs: retrievers, flushers, and the pointing breeds. Recently, pointing labs have become particularly popular at our facility. (scroll down for more)

Our kennel has evolved from a 4-run outbuilding to a climate-controlled, 16-run facility. The dogs have continual access to indoor/outdoor runs with an additional exercise yard. The 12 acres of CRP ground, homing pigeons, and kill-birds (as necessary) make an excellent classroom.

Pick N' Grin customizes training programs for the owners and dogs. We offer individual lessons, group seminars, and in-house boarding/training. Programs usually run for eight weeks, and we like the owners to be involved with the last couple (for a smooth transition of handlers for the dog). In addition to the field disciplines, we offer force-breaking to retrieve. We also board year-around for dogs that we've worked with or existing clients.
