Elkhorn Lake Hunt Club offers hunting and shooting opportunity both to the general public and through membership. Ohio ringneck pheasant, chukar partridge, and Hungarian partridge hunting, as well as sporting clays and 5-stand are offered.
Elkhorn's season opens September 1st with a dog training special for dog owners (Sept. 1 - mid Oct, 6 hen-pheasant bag limit per hunter - $65), and continues Oct. 1 through March 31st for guided hunts (though you can still use your dog). An April spring quail special for dog owners is also available (10 quail - $75).
Hunts consist of morning and/or afternoon sessions (to better ensure safety). Payment is based on the total number of birds released. Experienced dogs and handlers are available to see that you have an enjoyable hunt.
Memberships are NOT required. They are more of a prepayment plan - designed to provide a top-quality experience at a reduced price. Elkhorn Lake Hunt Club memberships are available until November 1 (open hunting from here on).
Individual memberships are $380 and include twenty (20) released pheasants. Membership renewal is $330 (both new and renewal pricing are subject to change and discount).
Corporate memberships are $1,040 (new) or $980 (renewal) and include sixty (60) pheasants plus two (2) guest fees per hunt (again pricing is subject to change and discount).
Guests of members using Elkhorn dogs (with handler) pay $12 on weekdays ($15 on Sundays). Use your dog and pay just $8 and $10, respectively. All prices are subject to change without notice.
