Country Cove Village of Rockbridge provides a family-friendly oasis for those looking for a safe, nurturing recreational outlet for all members of the family - young and old. Three spring-fed ponds support great numbers of largemouth bass, channel catfish, hybrid striped bass, crappie, bluegill, and even an occasional rainbow trout. And at $15/day per (immediate) family, this is an inexpensive way to build lasting memories.
 
Country Cove works hard to make sure their picturesque setting (nestled into the Hocking Hills) is well set-up for maximum, kid-friendly fun. An on-site bait and tackle shop offers the staples (live bait, fishing rods and reels, hooks, sinkers, bobbers, etc.), but it's the candy and soda (specially made for Country Cove Village) that probably keeps the kids coming back most.
 
While there are plenty of big fish in these local waters, it's all about catch-and-release. The biggest "trophy" of all is the chance to make your way to the bait shop for a smiley Polaroid.
 
Children's Fishing Tournaments are held the 2nd Saturday of the month (June - September). A nominal $5 entrance charge (per child) can make for some great stories around the dinner table.
