Since its founding in 1983, this bike shop has had a long and rich history with its community. Cycle Path is dedicated to the support and sponsorship of various bike races and bike teams. They are active in path and trail development and are members of several bike advocacy groups. They work with local police department bike patrols with free education and technical support. Cycle Path is also involved in donating bicycles to needy Athens County youth through a joint program with Ohio University.

Cycle Path also proudly sponsors The Hub Bub award - a bicycling trophy in recognition of excellence and commitment to bicycling in Southeastern Ohio.
