OHIO CLASSICS: FAVORITE TURKEY RECIPES FROM THE BUCKEYE STATE

Course:Soup Servings:4 Ingredients & Instructions: 3 cups water 2 cups chopped wild turkey breast 2 red skinned potatoes chopped 1 chopped carrot 1 medium onion chopped 2 chicken bouillon cubes 1 clove garlic crushed ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper 1 small tomato ½ cup canned or cooked kidney beans All purpose flour (to thicken soup)
In Dutch oven, heat water to boiling over high heat. Add turkey, potatoes, carrot, onion, bouillon cubes, garlic, cayenne, and salt and pepper to taste. Return to boiling, stirring occasionally. Cover and reduce heat. Simmer for about 30 minutes. Add tomato and beans. Re-cover and simmer for about 15 minutes longer. Thicken with flour if necessary.
