Privacy Policy

The Natural Resource (TNR) highly values your trust as a user of its website and is deeply dedicated to protecting your privacy. The conditions set forth below describe the commitment made by TNR to protect your privacy. By using the TNR website you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy is effective as of the date indicated and may be amended from time to time. You may choose to be notified by e-mail of changes to this Privacy Policy; however, if you choose not to be so notified it is your responsibility to stay informed regarding any changes to the policy.

Personal Information

In the course of your interactions with the TNR website, TNR may request that you provide certain personal information (e.g. e-mail address, name, location details, etc.). For example, TNR may request that you provide an e-mail address as part of a contest. TNR reserves the right to save this personal information for the purposes of interacting with you as described later in this Privacy Policy.

TNR uses third parties organizations (e.g. Amazon, PayPal, Google) to provide certain services (e.g. e-commerce) through the TNR site. Personal information provided by you through these third parties is handled by these third party organizations and is subject to their respective privacy policies. TNR does not save financial information captured by these third party organizations. However, TNR reserves the right to collect and use (as described below) non-financial personal information (e.g. e-mail addresses) gathered by these third party organizations.

TNR will not share any of your personal information of any kind with other third party organizations (e.g. advertisers) under any circumstances without your expressed permission. TNR will take appropriate steps to ensure that your personal information is protected and remains secure while in our possession.

User Comments

As a user of the TNR website, you may choose to offer comments, answer survey questions, or provide other feedback to TNR about the contents of the TNR website or on other topics solicited by TNR. TNR reserves the right to publicly share this user input on its website or in other printed material subject to the following conditions:

  • TNR will not identify the person who submitted the comment by name without the person's expressed permission to do so;
  • TNR may identify the person who submitted the comment by first name, last initial, and location (e.g. "John D. - Columbus, OH" or "John D. - Franklin County, OH") without receiving expressed permission to do so;
  • TNR reserves the right to share aggregate feedback (e.g. survey results) either publicly (including on the TNR site) or with TNR member businesses at its sole discretion.

Keeping You Informed Through E-mail

In the course of interacting with the TNR website we may ask you to provide us with your e-mail address. TNR collects this information so that we can respond to your correspondence in an appropriate manner. For instance, if you send a comment we may request your e-mail address so that we can contact you if we need clarification, or as one means of verifying that the comment comes from a legitimate source (i.e. that the e-mail address provided is a real, functioning e-mail address). If TNR asks you to provide your e-mail address we will also provide an explanation for why we are requesting this information.

TNR reserves the right to send e-mail correspondence to you as appropriate relating to any specific topic for which you provide your e-mail address ("Solicited Messages"). For example, if you provide your e-mail address in connection with a contest that TNR is sponsoring, TNR reserves the right to e-mail you as it deems appropriate to inform you specifically about the contest (e.g. to inform you that your entry has been received, to inform you of the eventual winner, etc.) Solicited Messages will be limited in scope to the topic in question, and of limited frequency and duration. However, you will be unable to opt out of receiving Solicited Messages.

TNR also reserves the right to send unsolicited e-mail correspondence to you to promote the TNR web site, notify you of special promotions, or inform you of other topics that, in its judgment, may be of interest to you as a user of the TNR website, including changes to this Privacy Policy ("Unsolicited Messages"). Such messages may be unrelated to any correspondence initiated on your part. However, you will always have the option to notify TNR to request not to receive future Unsolicited Messages. Every Unsolicited Message will include instructions about how to be removed from TNR's mailing list. Please follow these instructions if you wish to stop receiving Unsolicited Messages from TNR.
